Since 2016, manufacturers, importers and installers have been required to collect and recycle used solar panels free of charge. In France, consumers do not pay any additional charges when they make a purchase. However, it is essential to point out that if your installation dates from before 2016, you have no obligation to pay, regardless of your region of residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What parts of photovoltaic panels can be recycled?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Virtually all the components of a solar panel can be recycled. The glass<\/strong>, which makes up 80%<\/strong> of the panel, as well as the aluminum frame<\/strong>, silicon cells<\/strong>, copper<\/strong> and even theinverter<\/strong>, which is the central component of the system, are all subject to recycling.
